What Does This Error Mean?

I was just trying out a text editor to see if it's accessible and got the weirdest error message that I've ever seen. I wanted to know exactly what it means, not only in simple terms, but as a programmer, incase a program that I make or another one that I try behaves similarly. I know I can look up coprocessor but I'm interested in the numbers and sels and all of that too. My bet is that I won't get this kind of message on my newer machines. I've included the whole message.

Okay, off to eat and then look for WordPerfect Editor or WordPerfect Office or to grab one of the editors that Wikipedia suggested.

Bad command or file name. Please try again.

That is a memory dump which would only be useful to a developer who has the source to the editor. More to the point, what were you doing when this took place? And is this on one of your DOS platforms / win32 command line or what?

Lol Mike, that was funny.

Yeah, it's on my MS-DOS 6.21 machine. It happens whenever I try to start the program. Thanks for the explanation.

Dos is soooooooo old, its ancient, get Linux. There's a whole community dedicated to Linux.

The DOS I will be using is a modern os and it too has a nice large community. Now if you wanna go ancient, there's CP/M. But I'm not going anywhere near that or Linux, even though there's a conspiracy to get me to try it. haha

Ok, that's not an actual message, but oh well, you get the idea.

Error reading previous posts. Please upgrade thought drive from MS variety to modern for full benefits package.

None of us runs the "modern dos" so ask questions on the forums who do. None of us knows.

Well, this error message was on the old one. *smile* In any case, you already answered it several posts back and I thanked you. Not sure why this thread is continuing.
